Kentuckians for Strong Leadership Releases First TV Spot

Grimes Would Be Rubber Stamp for Obama/Reid Agenda

(Louisville) Kentuckians for Strong Leadership (KSL), a Section 527 Super PAC, has launched its first television ad of the 2014 cycle. The spot, called “Rubber Stamp,” discusses why Alison Grimes would be wrong for Kentucky. The $260,000 ad buy is running in the Lexington, Louisville, and Paducah markets on broadcast and cable.

“Harry Reid is desperate to get Mitch McConnell because he is the most effective backstop to block Obama’s liberal agenda. To that end, Reid has been holding secret meetings with Alison Grimes who would no doubt be far more accommodating than McConnell when it comes to enacting the Obama/Reid agenda,” said Scott Jennings, a senior advisor to KSL.

“Reid and Obama have decided Grimes is a perfect policy fit for what they want to do, so they are desperately trying to push her in to the Senate race. We think the people of Kentucky will stand with Mitch McConnell, who is working to craft conservative solutions and block the most liberal, job-killing parts of the Obama/Reid agenda,” Jennings said.

“It’s pretty simple. Grimes stands with Obama and Reid. McConnell stands with Kentucky,” Jennings said. “I’m sure Reid didn’t want Grimes to know she’s really just a pawn in this game of his to advance Obama’s agenda. But that’s exactly what she would be,” Jennings said.

The ad can be viewed here:

ANNOUNCER: President Obama and Harry Reid are looking for Senators who will jam through Obama’s agenda – massive spending, Obamacare, the War on Coal.

Reid’s having secret meetings with Alison Grimes, because she’s Obama’s cheerleader in Kentucky.

And they are attacking Mitch McConnell because he defends Kentucky–fighting Obama’s Medicare cuts and big spending…while Alison Grimes would stand with Obama.

And that’s bad news for us.
